Academy International Elementary School

Recognized as a Colorado School of Excellence, Academy International Elementary School (AIES) follows the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IBPYP) which focuses on developing the whole child through inquiry-based instruction, social emotional learning, and a challenging and engaging academic program. Teachers are trained in the Science of Reading and provide differentiated instruction and supports to meet students’ individual needs. All students receive Art, Music, Physical Education, and French instruction. We believe strong partnerships between families and schools lead to high achievement and prepare students to be compassionate, lifelong learners.

  • Staff - two full time administrators, 32 certified instructors, and about 20 support staff. All of these educators work closely with the classroom teacher to meet students' needs.

  • Specials - music, physical education, art, library, technology, and French

  • Before and after school clubs are also offered to enrich the curriculum

Before and After School Child Care
Before and After School Child Care is provided at each elementary school through an outside vendor. The child care program utilizes space within the school and provides a variety of programs for K-5 students.
Emotional Intelligence
Emotional Intelligence teaches young people skills such as active listening, self-awareness and empathy to help them succeed both academically and socially.
English as a Second Language (ESL)
English as a Second Language (ESL) is a program that promotes a safe and encouraging learning environment for all English language learners.
International Baccalaureate (IB): Primary Years Programme
International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IBPYP), for children aged 3 to 12, prepares students to become active, caring, lifelong learners who demonstrate respect for themselves and others and have the capacity to participate in the world around them. It focuses on the development of the whole child.
Language Immersion
Language Immersion is a technique used in bilingual language education in which two languages are used for instruction in a variety of topics, including math, science or social studies.
