Sign In at the Office
Parents, guardians and community members are welcome at AIES. All visitors must sign in at the front office and wear a name badge.
Volunteers must also complete annual training and pass a background check. See Community and Volunteering.
Minimize Classroom Interruptions
Drop lunches, backpacks and other forgotten items at the office so staff can get them to your student. Schedule conversations with teachers during non-instructional time.
For student checkout, bring valid photo identification and follow office checkout procedures.
Playground and Classroom Visits
Parents may not join students on the playground during recess.
Children who do not attend AIES may not be on the playground during school hours or during your volunteer time.
Siblings may not accompany parents or students to classroom parties.
During a Drill
Visitors and volunteers must remain with the class or group they are supporting during hold, secure, lockdown, evacuate or shelter drills.
